COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES

Lopez Island Fire  along with San Juan Island Fire & Rescue  joined together to help our neighbors on Orcas Island to contain a wildland fire on Monday, August 24, 2020.

Together, Orcas Island, Lopez Island and San Juan Island Fire and Rescue crews worked with a Washington State Department of Natural Resources helicopter crew to quickly knock down the fire. There were no reported injuries or loss of property.

This is an example of the wonderful teamwork we have together with our neighboring fire and rescue groups.  Thank you to all.
